Jason Zaccaro is an Associate at Gemini. Jason has experience in patent, copyright, and trademark litigation, as well as experience in counseling on IP strategy and transactional issues involving intellectual property. Jason’s practice includes Hatch-Waxman and BPCIA patent litigation, Patent Trial and Appeal Board proceedings, including inter partes review, pre-litigation strategy, trademark portfolio management, licensing, and enforcement strategy, as well as domain name disputes.
Prior to joining Gemini Law, Jason was an IP associate at large law firms, representing clients in diverse intellectual property matters, including patent, trademark, trade secret, and trade dress cases. Jason has experience in all stages of civil ligation, from pre-suit investigation through trial. Jason also maintained an active pro bono practice, working with organizations such as Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts and Start Small Think Big to provide counseling on IP issues to individuals and small businesses.
During law school Jason worked as a student attorney in the University of Michigan Law School’s Entrepreneurship Clinic, advising early stage start up clients on intellectual property issues and a broad variety of corporate matters. Jason also worked as a legal intern in the University of Michigan’s Office of Technology Transfer, as an in-house legal intern for the non-profit computer networking consortium Internet2, and as a Law Clerk in the United States Copyright Office.
