About the Firm
Gemini Law is a growing intellectual property firm of 20+ attorneys focused on complex intellectual property matters and disputes for leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Our New York City office is steps from Bryant Park, but our team enjoys a flexible, remote work environment. Most of our attorneys honed their skills at top Big Law firms, and many also bring valuable in-house counsel experience, offering clients a practical, business-focused perspective.

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled mid-level litigation associate to join our expanding team. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge pharmaceutical and biotechnology disputes, with a strong emphasis on Hatch-Waxman (ANDA), BPCIA litigation, and other life science matters, as well as involvement in inter partes reviews (IPRs) and post-grant reviews (PGRs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of patent litigation involving pharmaceutical and biotech products: pre-suit investigation, detailed statements (ANDA) or “patent dance” (BPCIA), discovery, motion practice, depositions, expert work, and trial.
  • Draft pleadings, contentions, expert declarations/reports, briefs, and other substantive litigation documents.
  • Conduct pre-litigation freedom-to-operate analyses and IP due diligence to support product selection, development (including design-around efforts), and launches and transactions.
  • Assist with IPRs and PGRs.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
  • 3–4 years of patent litigation experience, ideally including Hatch-Waxman and/or BPCIA litigation.
  • Experience with PTAB (inter partes review or post-grant) proceedings is a plus.
  • Admission to at least one state bar; USPTO registration a plus but not required.
  • Scientific or technical degree (e.g., biology, chemistry, engineering) highly preferred but not required.
  • Outstanding legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and flexible environment.

What We Offer

  • Fully remote work with optional use of our Bryant Park office.
  • Flexible hours to support work-life balance.
  • High-impact pharmaceutical and biotechnology litigation for top-tier clients.
  • Competitive compensation and bonuses comparable to leading Big Law firms.
