Ms Morris’ work includes the following representative matters:
- Representing Celltrion in BPCIA proceedings relating to EYLEA (aflibercept).
- Represented Celltrion in successful IPRs related to Actemra (tocilizumab) and EYLEA (aflibercept).
- Represented defendant Teva Pharmaceuticals in patent litigation involving Endo’s OPANA ER® (extended-release oxymorphone hydrochloride) tablets. The case went to trial before the Honorable Richard G. Andrews in July 2016.
- Represented plaintiff Cephalon, Inc. in patent litigation against over fifteen defendants involving Cephalon’s TREANDA® (bendamustine HCl) lyophilized product. The case went to trial before the Honorable Gregory Sleet in December of 2015. After a trial against five defendants, Cephalon prevailed on its claims of infringement against all defendants.
- Represented defendant Pass & Seymour in patent litigation involving ground-fault circuit interrupter products. The case later went to trial, with a jury verdict entered in favor of Pass & Seymour.
- Represented defendant Teva in patent litigation involving teriparatide products. The case resulted in a favorable settlement.
- Represented Wyeth in one of the largest and most complex life sciences patent litigations ever in Australia, involving three separate proceedings against eight separate parties (including the Commonwealth of Australia) in relation to extended release venlafaxine products. These three cases, which involved a six week trial, were the first cases in Australia to address claims on undertakings as to damages in pharmaceutical patent litigation by generic pharmaceutical companies, their suppliers and the Commonwealth of Australia.
